FinovateFall 2024 - The Fintech Compliance Preview
Highlighting the Compliance-related demos and sessions at FinovateFall.
This week I'll be attending Finovate's FinovateFall 2024 conference, happening right in my backyard here in NYC. I'm also looking forward to hosting our after-hours Fintech Compliance Circle event on Tuesday night, which should provide an opportunity for a handful of folks in the space to connect in a less hectic setting. In today's edition I'll provide our compliance-centric preview of the event and also use this as an opportunity to ask anyone else who's attending to say hello in the comments.
What distinguishes Finovate conferences from the rest is that they're not really conferences per se and they're not really trade shows either. The crown jewel of their programming is the demos, where the fintechs in question have an opportunity to actually show in practice how their products work. And more than that, they get dedicated time in the agenda to show them off (rather than just hoping folks will stop by their booth).
To that end, while the direct regulatory/compliance focus in terms of panels and keynotes is somewhat lower than what I saw earlier this year at Money20/20 Asia, the The Fintech Risk & Compliance Forum, or Empire Startups - Everything FinTech Fintech Conference, the key for those attending over the next few days is good planning. Many of these companies are in fact providing solutions to regulatory-driven problems or are regtech organizations themselves. So without further ado, here's my highlights of the agenda over the next several days, for anyone who is attending and wants a Compliance focus in their experience:
